Kim Hough – Counselor
Kim Hough is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA). She earned her Master of Arts (M.A.) Degree in Counseling from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan in 2008 and her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree in Human Resource Development from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan in 1995.
Her professional experience includes working with persons struggling with addiction, mental illness, and criminal behavior. She worked for The Salvation Army Harbor Light Macomb for approximately 6 years as a residential substance abuse therapist. She has extensive experience in the development of individualized treatment plans, individual psychotherapy, group therapy, and group presentations. She was dedicated to helping her clients learn how to live without their drug of choice as well as uncovering the driving forces behind their self-destructive behaviors. In addition to her deep understanding of co-occurring disorders, she also specializes in treating depression, anxiety, and trauma. She has an eclectic style of counseling that invites you warmly on a path toward hope and healing.
